Altar Servers

ALTAR SERVERS.... we are in need of Altar Servers at all Masses.  Any youth who has made First Communion can become and Altar Server.  Instruction for servers is at the Church for 1 hour a week for 4-6 weeks.  Call Fran Murphy at 508-248-6501 to sign up or fill out the application at the bottom of this page.

Altar Servers

Mission: To assist our priest in the celebration of the Mass.  It is a wonderful opportunity for the children at St. Joseph's to participate in Mass in a very special way.

Role: Altar Servers normally serve Mass once a month.  In addition, they may be asked to assist with special events and Masses.  Each new Server is given training to feel comfortable in their new role at Mass.  We ask that your child be at least 10 years old before they become a Server.

We are in need of altar servers for all Masses.  Youth servers (those who received First Communion) and adult servers are welcome.  There will be a training session for those interested on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:00am in the Church.

Any student who has received First Communion and is interested in becoming an Altar Server, please complete the form below.  Mr. Fran Murphy, at 508-248-6507, will schedule training periodically.  There are generally six to eight sessions to learn about serving.  After training you will be put on a Mass Schedule, that will best suit your schedule.
