Baptism Instruction -
This process consists of a single meeting with parents and godparents, following the 10:00am Mass on Sunday. Deacon Steve will greet prospective parents with an introduction to the parish and review 'paperwork'. There is discussion about the importance of raising your children in the Catholic faith along with the importance of the role that godparents play given by couples of the parish. We also go over the signs and symbols of Baptism and why we do what we do.
Godparents -
For the Sacrament of Baptism you should be fully initiated into the Church, that is you must be baptized and confirmed and living a faith-filled life. You must worship a God in terms of regular participation at Holy Mass and should be part of the baptised life. Godparents assume a spititural relationship with those whom they sponsor.
All Classes will take place on a Sunday AFTER the 10:00am Mass.

Baptismal Preparation |
Mission: To help parents deepen their understanding that Baptism is a sacrament and celebration that joins people to Jesus’ family. Because of our Baptism, we are also called to be Jesus’ prophets, proclaiming the message, the mission and the person of Him. It’s our initial call to give witness and testimony to him. Role: Prepare parents and Godparents of their responsibilities as Catholic Christian guardians, schedule baptism dates and answer questions regarding Baptism. |
